Fernando Grana: A Legend in Futsal

Early Career and Brazilian Success

Fernando Grana, a Brazilian-Italian professional futsal player, initially rose to prominence with the Brazilian club Atlético Mineiro. He celebrated two Brazilian championship titles and claimed the Intercontinental Cup in 1998.

Italian Journey and European Triumph

In 1999, Grana relocated to Italy, joining BNL Calcetto in Rome. He later moved to Spain, playing for Móstoles and Playas de Castellón, with whom he won the Spanish Super Cup.

Upon returning to Italy, Grana represented several clubs, including Luparense, Lazio Colleferro, and Arzignano Grifo, earning numerous national trophies.

International Acclaim

After obtaining Italian citizenship, Grana became a key player for the Italian national futsal team in 1999. His greatest triumph came in 2003 with the European Championship crown. He also collected silver and bronze medals at the FIFA Futsal World Cup in 2004 and 2008, respectively, and bronze and silver medals at the European Championships in 2005 and 2007.
