H.P. Baxxter: Early Life and Scooter Beginnings

H.P. Baxxter, born Hans-Peter Geerdes, rose to prominence as a founding member of the iconic German techno group Scooter in the early 1990s. His charismatic vocals and energetic stage presence became synonymous with the band's infectious beats and flamboyant performances.

Departure from Scooter and Solo Ventures

In 1998, Baxxter made the difficult decision to leave Scooter due to mental health struggles that hindered his ability to perform. Despite releasing several unsuccessful solo singles under the alias Ferris, he remained an influential figure in the German music scene.

Nuturn and Collaboration with Axl Coon

In 2001, Baxxter founded his own production company, Nuturn, in Hannover. He collaborated with former Scooter bandmate Axl Coon on the 2002 single "Don't Break My Heart" under the project name Fragrance.

Producing Success and Supporting Young Artists

Baxxter also played a pivotal role as a producer for his Nuturn label. He notably worked on the English version of Scooter's hit song "Nessaja," which achieved gold certification in Germany and charted in the top 10 in over 20 countries.

Current Projects

Today, Baxxter uses his expertise to mentor and support young German musical talent. His company, Nuturn, continues to produce emerging artists and contribute to the vibrancy of the German music industry.
