Early Life and Military Education
Born on December 15, 1872, in Shusha, Prince Feyzullah Mirza Qajar was the son of Persian Prince General-Major Shafi-Khan Qajar. He received his general education at the Tiflis Cadet Corps.
Service in the Russian Imperial Army
On August 30, 1891, Qajar entered the Nikolaev Cavalry School. After graduating with distinction, he was commissioned as a cornet in the 43rd Dragoon Tver Regiment on August 7, 1893. He rose through the ranks, becoming a staff captain on March 15, 1903.
Russo-Japanese War
With the outbreak of the Russo-Japanese War, Qajar was transferred to the newly formed 2nd Dagestan Horse Regiment commanded by Colonel Hussein Khan Nakhichevan. He participated in combat, including a renowned cavalry charge at Landungou village on January 14, 1905, where he was severely wounded.
Awards and Honors
Qajar received numerous awards for his bravery:Order of Saint Anna, 4th class with the inscription "For Valor" (November 3, 1904)
Order of Saint Stanislaus, 3rd class with swords and bow (January 9, 1905)
Order of Saint Anna, 3rd class with swords and bow (July 11 - August 10, 1905)
Order of Saint George, 4th class (October 17, 1915)
World War IDuring World War I, Qajar fought with the Tatar Horse Regiment and was promoted to colonel on January 5, 1915. He commanded the Chechen Horse Regiment and distinguished himself in combat, earning the Order of Vladimir, 3rd class with swords.
Bolshevik Revolution and Assassination
After the Bolshevik Revolution, Qajar returned to Azerbaijan and served as the commander of the cavalry division of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic army. However, he was assassinated by Bolsheviks in 1920.
