Early Life and Career

Filip Kostić, a Serbian footballer, was born in Crvenka, Serbia. He began his football journey at his hometown club Radnički, where he made his professional debut in the Serbian league at the age of 17.

Transfer to Groningen

After impressing for Radnički, Kostić attracted the attention of several European clubs. In 2012, he moved to FC Groningen in the Netherlands for a transfer fee of €1.3 million. He debuted in the Eredivisie in October 2012 and gradually established himself as a key player.

Success at Stuttgart

In the summer of 2014, Kostić joined VfB Stuttgart in Germany, signing a five-year contract. He made his debut in the Bundesliga in August 2014 and scored his first goal for the club in December 2014. His performances attracted interest from top clubs, including Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool.

Move to Hamburg

Despite Stuttgart's relegation from the Bundesliga in 2016, Kostić continued to impress. He was transferred to Hamburger SV for a fee of €14 million in July 2016. He made his debut for Hamburg in August 2016 and scored his first goal for the club in November 2016.

International Career

Kostić made his international debut for Serbia in 2015. He scored his first goal for the national team in 2016 in a World Cup qualifier against Ireland. He has since become a regular member of the Serbian squad.
