Flo Rida: A Biography
Tremar Dillard, better known by his stage name Flo Rida, is a rapper with a unique personality. He is young and hot-blooded. Flo Rida sports a tattoo of Jimmy Hendrix on his left shoulder and the word "Florida" on his right wrist. In the near future, he will release a new song, a collaboration with Australian rapper Novacasa, also known as "Thug Timez".
Early Life and Career Beginnings
Tremar Dillard was born on December 16, 1979. Although he was born in a small town called Opa-Locka, Florida, he gained his fame in Carol City. Dillard's career started in his youth when he went on tour with the controversial rap group "2 Live Crew" as a teenager. The group faced numerous lawsuits for their explicit lyrics. Later, he formed his own amateur group called "Groundhoggz". His work with "2 Live Crew" caught the attention of Michael De Vante, a member of the group "Jodeci". However, some record companies were hesitant to work with the aspiring rapper, as Dillard had interests outside of music. He attended the University of Las Vegas and Barry University. Eventually, he returned to his hometown, Florida.
Rise to Fame
Flo Rida later performed with various renowned DJs. During this time, he was taken under the wing of the record label "Poe Boy Entertainment". Together, they released the song "Bitch I'm from Dade County", a collaboration with DJ Khaled. The song became one of the leading tracks in DJ Khaled's album "We the Best". In late 2006, Flo Rida signed a long-term contract with "Poe Boy Entertainment". He started performing with rappers such as Rick Ross, Trina, and Trick Daddy.
Breakthrough and Success
Flo Rida's debut album, "Mail on Sunday", was released, with the single "Low" reaching number one in 2008. In February 2008, he released his second single, "Elevator", which also achieved great success on the charts. While many critics do not take his work seriously, dismissing it as "dirty", some of his songs reflect the reality of life on the streets of American cities. In his rap verses, he uses street slang that resonates with any street-smart individual.
