Academic Career

From 1813, Høffding held the position of Professor of Philosophy at the University of Copenhagen. His philosophical views closely aligned with the ideas of Friedrich Schelling.

Høffding's seminal work, "Menneskets aandelige Natur og V?sen" (The Spiritual Nature and Being of Man), was later revised and published as "Psychologi" (1862). This comprehensive treatise on psychology explores the human mind and consciousness.
