Biography of French Stewart

French Stewart is an American actor best known for his role as Harry Solomon in the 90s sitcom "3rd Rock from the Sun". He was born on February 20, 1964, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as Milton French Stewart. His mother was a homemaker, and his stepfather worked as a projectionist. Stewart attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and spent seven years touring with local theaters before making his television debut.

Early Career

Stewart's first television role was as the drugged-out DJ Razor Dee in the final season of "The New WKRP in Cincinnati" (1992). He joined the Screen Actors Guild for his participation in the "Shakey Quakey tour" organized by Hanna-Barbera but was excluded from the parade for taking off his costume head in front of children.

Breakthrough with "3rd Rock from the Sun"

In 1996, Stewart was cast in the hit series "3rd Rock from the Sun" and was praised for his exceptional comedic talent. His signature "cross-eyed" expression became his trademark. In addition to his television work, Stewart also had significant roles in various films, including "Stargate" (1994), "Leaving Las Vegas" (1995), "Glory Daze" (1996), "McHale's Navy" (1997), "Clockstoppers," and "Stopping Power" (2002, as Earl Doppler).

Since the end of "3rd Rock from the Sun" in 2001, Stewart has appeared in small roles in numerous films, mostly sitcoms such as "Just Shoot Me!," "Becker," "The Drew Carey Show," "Clava, Davai!," and "That '70s Show." He also had a notable guest role as fashion designer Gaston Le Mode on the popular Disney show "Phineas and Ferb" in the episode "Run Away Runway" (2008). Stewart had a small but memorable role in the series "Seinfeld" as the theater manager in the fifth season.
