Biography of Frida Giannini
Frida Giannini is an Italian fashion designer and the creative director of the Italian fashion house 'Gucci'. She studied the secrets of fashion design at Rome's Fashion Academy. In 1997, Giannini worked in the ready-to-wear department of 'Fendi'. After three highly productive seasons, she was promoted to a specialist in leather goods.

In 2002, Giannini was invited to lead one of the departments at 'Gucci', overseeing the production of handbags. In 2004, Tom Ford left the company, and Giannini was promoted to head of the women's accessories department. At that time, almost all 'Gucci' products were adorned with the distinctive 'GG' monogram. Giannini attempted to move away from the old 'Ford' style. Taking inspiration from Grace Kelly's popular scarf from the 60s, Giannini launched a new collection of vibrant 'Flora' handbags. However, fashion critics received this new direction with coolness, stating that it did not successfully set a new trend.

Nevertheless, customers did not share the critics' opinion, and the 'Flora' collection became a success. Gradually, Giannini extended this new style to other products of the company, including ballet flats. In 2006, Giannini became the creative director of the entire label. She continues to actively create new projects while keeping in mind the classic style of the House.

In 2010, a new women's clothing line was released, clearly inspired by the original 'Gucci' designs. Giannini, however, repeatedly stated that she never focused on nostalgia as such. Instead, she drew inspiration from the old models of the company. It was largely thanks to Giannini that the popular singer Florence Welch became the new face of the 'Gucci' brand. Giannini confessed that while working on the new collection, she often thought about a new image - that of a strong, confident, slightly mysterious, and stylish woman. Florence Welch perfectly fit this image. When Giannini first met her in Los Angeles at the Grammy Awards, she immediately knew that she had found exactly what she needed. Welch willingly accepted Giannini's offer, and their collaboration continues to this day.
Giannini is also an avid collector of vinyl records, with a collection of 8000 copies to date.
