Early Life and Education

Weber initially pursued philology at the universities of Greifswald and Breslau. However, he later switched to studying medicine and embarked on a prolonged journey through Germany, France, and Italy.

Medical Career and Mineral Springs

Upon completing his studies, Weber became a physician at the mineral springs in Lippspringe. He utilized his medical knowledge to provide care to those seeking the therapeutic benefits of the spa.

Literary Works

In addition to his medical career, Weber was a prolific writer. He translated many poems by the English poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson, into German. Notably, he published the epic poem "Dreizehn Linden" (Thirteen Lindens) in 1849.

"Dreizehn Linden" depicted the conflict between Christianity and paganism. The epic poem achieved immense popularity among the Catholic population of Germany and went through 42 editions by 1888.
