Early Life and Youth CareerGuy Assulin, an Israeli footballer known for his exceptional midfield skills, was born in Haifa, Israel. His football journey commenced at Hapoel Haifa before he joined the youth academy of FC Barcelona at the tender age of 12. Under the guidance of Angel Huertos and Joan Martinez Vilàseca, he honed his talent over several years.
Transfer to Chelsea and Rise at Barcelona
In 2007, Assulin's potential caught the attention of English giants Chelsea, who expressed interest in signing him. In July 2009, he acquired Spanish citizenship in anticipation of a possible move to Chelsea. The same year, he was summoned to join the Barcelona first team under manager Pep Guardiola for pre-season training in England. His competitive debut for the club came in the Wembley Cup against Tottenham Hotspur, a match that ended in a 1-1 draw. Assulin also featured in the subsequent match, a 4-1 victory over Al-Ahli. His official first-team debut came on October 28, 2009, in the Copa del Rey against Cultural Leonesa, where he played 59 minutes.
