Garik Krichevsky is a singer-songwriter of Russian chanson. He was born on March 31, 1963, in Lviv. At the age of 5, in 1968, he enrolled in a music studio where he studied piano. By the age of 14, he formed a vocal-instrumental ensemble where he played the bass guitar and started writing his own songs. After graduating from high school in 1980, Krichevsky worked in emergency medical services while also playing in various musical groups.
In 1982, Krichevsky entered Lviv State Medical Institute while continuing his musical pursuits in the institute's vocal-instrumental ensemble and the "Romantik" Youth Palace orchestra. He completed his medical studies in 1988.
From 1991 to 1994, Krichevsky worked as a radiologist in a diagnostic center. During this time, he recorded his first home concerts, although these recordings have not been preserved. In 1992 and 1994, he released the albums "Kievlanka" and "Privokzalnaya." In the same period, he moved to Germany for permanent residency. However, in 1995, he returned to Ukraine to pursue his professional touring career.
From 1995 to 2004, Krichevsky released several albums, including "Vykhodnoy," "Ulicy nashego goroda," "Palchiki," "Svoboda," "Zima-Leto," and "Rodnaya." Currently, he resides and works in Kyiv. In 2004, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine.
