Biography of Gemma Arterton
Gemma Christina Arterton was born in January 1986 in Gravesend, Kent, England. She and her sister, Hannah Jane Arterton, were both born with six fingers on each hand and a wrinkled ear. However, these issues were corrected through surgical intervention during their childhood.

Early Life and Education
Arterton was raised by her father, a welder, and her mother, a cleaner. After attending the Gravesend Grammar School for Girls on Pilm Road, she pursued a full-time course in performing arts at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. It was during this time that Arterton received her first professional role as Lisa in Stephen Poliakoff's TV drama, "Capturing Mary."

Career Breakthrough
Arterton made her stage debut in July 2007, playing Rosaline in Shakespeare's "Love's Labour's Lost" at the Globe Theatre in London. The same year, she made her film debut in the comedy "St. Trinian's," where she portrayed the head girl, Kelly. This role was originally intended for actress Sienna Miller.

In 2008, Arterton appeared in the comedy "Three and Out" alongside Mackenzie Crook and Imelda Staunton. She also landed the role of Agent Fields in the James Bond film "Quantum of Solace." Chosen from approximately 1,500 candidates, Arterton's portrayal of the character was hailed as an impressive addition to the Bond franchise.
Expanding Her Career
Following the release of "Quantum of Solace," Arterton was selected to be the face of Avon's new fragrance, "Bond Girl 007." In May 2008, she began working with the cosmetic company, expressing her desire to collaborate with supermodel Kate Moss on a cosmetics brand called "Rimmel." However, due to her contract with Avon, this collaboration did not come to fruition.
Arterton continued to expand her acting career, starring in Guy Ritchie's crime action film "RocknRolla" and Richard Curtis' comedy "The Boat That Rocked" about British pirate radio DJs in the 1970s.
Arterton remains a promising actress in both film and television projects, with her next notable role being in the James Bond film, "No Time to Die."
Personal Life
In 2007, Arterton was in a relationship with John Nolan, an animator working in the London film industry. However, the couple ended their relationship in 2008. There were rumors of Arterton dating Toby Kebbell and her horse riding instructor, 19-year-old Spanish stuntman Eduardo Munoz, during the filming of "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time."
Overall, Gemma Arterton's talent and versatility have made her a sought-after actress in the entertainment industry, with a successful career in both film and theater.
