The Most Tattooed Teacher
A Canvas of InkJeff Ostling, a 65-year-old Australian teacher, bears an extraordinary secret beneath his ordinary appearance. When he sheds his clothes, his body unveils a vibrant spectacle - a 90% tattooed masterpiece. The transformation began two decades ago, when Ostling, then a school teacher, encountered a corporate executive whose body was adorned from head to toe with scenes from Greek and Roman mythology. Inspired, Ostling commissioned a renowned tattoo artist known as Ex de Mercy to create a similar work of art on his own body.
Floral Symphony
Ostling's chosen theme was flowers. He entrusted Ex de Mercy to capture the vibrant tapestry of Sydney's Botanical Gardens on his skin. Over 15 years, Ostling became a living canvas, transforming into an intricate masterpiece. The project reached its zenith with tattoos extending even to his genitalia and body piercings on his chest.
Legacy in Ink
As he contemplated his advancing age and eventual mortality, Ostling decided to preserve his inked legacy for posterity. His will dictates that upon his passing, his skin will be expertly taxidermied and displayed in the National Gallery of Canberra, a monument to tattoo artistry. His internal organs will be donated to hospitals for transplantation, ensuring that his body continues to bestow life.
