Biography of Telman Kelechi Orayin

Telman Kelechi Orayin, a distinguished Udin and Azerbaijani writer, educator, social activist, and scholar, was born in Nidj village, Gabala region of the Azerbaijan SSR. In 1952, he enrolled in the Oriental Studies faculty at Baku State University. Upon graduating, he returned to Nidj village and served as a school teacher.

Cultural and Educational Contributions

Orayin played a pivotal role as the leader of the Udin cultural and educational society, "Orayin." He tirelessly promoted Udin culture and language. In collaboration with scholar Aydinov, he developed the Udin alphabet (T1it1ir) and a school curriculum for teaching the Udin language.

Literary Output

Alongside his educational endeavors, Orayin devoted himself to literary pursuits. He published original and translated works in the Udin language, as well as numerous articles and books exploring various aspects of Udin culture and history.

Recognition and Legacy
