Biography of Tatiana Shevtsova
Tatiana Viktorovna Shevtsova was born in 1969 in the city of Kozelsk, Kaluga Oblast. Her father served in the military. Shevtsova graduated from the Leningrad Financial and Economic Institute named after N.A. Voznesensky (now the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance) in 1991. In the same year, she began her career in the tax authorities.

Career in Tax Administration
Starting as a state tax inspector, Shevtsova eventually became the Head of the Department of Major Taxpayers at the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation. From November 18, 2004, to August 9, 2010, she served as the Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation.
Deputy Minister of Defense
On August 10, 2010, by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Tatiana Viktorovna Shevtsova was appointed as one of the Deputy Ministers of Defense of the Russian Federation. She became the second woman in the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, following Vera Yergeshevna Chistova, a doctor of economics and the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation in charge of financial and economic affairs.
Professional Achievements
Tatiana Viktorovna Shevtsova holds a Ph.D. in Economics and has been honored as a Distinguished Economist of the Russian Federation since 2006. She has also received the Honorary Diploma of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. In 2007, she was awarded the Order of Honor, which is given to Russian citizens for outstanding achievements in various fields of life. Since 2009, Shevtsova has held the rank of State Counsellor of the Russian Federation, Class 2.
