Ukrainian Psychologist with Significant Contributions
Education and Academic CareerA Ukrainian psychologist, this distinguished individual has been a Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine (NAESU) since 2003. They hold a professorship since 1993, a Doctor of Psychology degree since 1991, and a Candidate of Technical Sciences degree since 1964. Their doctoral dissertation, titled "Fundamentals of Task Theory (System of Basic Concepts; Psychological-Pedagogical Aspect)," explored the foundations of task theory.
The psychologist graduated from the Kiev Polytechnic Institute (Faculty of Electroacoustics) in 1957. They have been associated with the Institute of Psychology of the Ukrainian SSR (now known as the G.S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of NAESU) since 1958 as a disciple of renowned psychologist Grigory S. Kostiuk.
Research Roles and Leadership
Holding various leadership positions, the psychologist served as Head of Laboratory (or Department) from 1965 to 1971 and again from 1989. Since 1996, they have led the Laboratory of Methodology and Theory of Psychology. Since 1993, they have worked concurrently at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Professional Education of NAESU.
Teaching and Editorial Contributions
From 1969 onwards, the psychologist has been actively teaching in various universities in Ukraine. They serve on the editorial boards of several scientific journals and have authored an impressive number of scientific publications, including 437 scholarly works, 11 sole-authored and co-authored monographs, and 15 textbooks.
Recognition and Honors
Their contributions have been recognized with awards and honors, including Distinguished Educator of the Ukrainian SSR in 1987 and Honorary Certificates from the Presidium of NAESU in 1995 and 2006.
