Early Life and Career

Zoltan Gera, a devout member of the Hungarian Pentecostal Church of Faith, commenced his footballing journey with the church's team, "Sinai Eagles."

Club Career

West Bromwich Albion and Fulham

After leaving his church team, Gera signed for West Bromwich Albion. After a successful stint, he moved to Fulham in 2008 as a free agent, penning a three-year contract.

In 2004, Gera was named captain of the Hungarian national team.

Temporary Exclusion and Return

In 2009, Gera was suspended from the team for missing a team meeting. He subsequently announced his retirement from international football.

In 2010, after a change in the Hungarian Football Federation's leadership, Gera was reinstated to the team by new manager Sandor Egervari.
