Early Career and Transformation

Frank Baumann began his football career as a defensive midfielder for FC Nürnberg. However, his remarkable defensive abilities soon caught the attention of several Bundesliga clubs, leading him to join Werder Bremen in 1999. Over time, he evolved into a solid central defender.
