Early Life and EducationGevorg Karapetyan was born in 1936 in the village of Azatavan, Armenia. After completing his education, he pursued his passion for engineering at the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute, where he specialized in bridge and road design.

As a skilled engineer, Karapetyan designed and built over a hundred bridges, road structures, and urban infrastructure projects. His remarkable creations include bridges in Yerevan, Vanadzor, Alaverdi, and Jermuk. He also played a crucial role in the design and construction of the Artashat Lake.
