Biography of Gilbert Brule

Gilbert Brule is a Canadian ice hockey player who currently plays as a center forward for the Chinese club "Kunlun Red Star" in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He began his professional career with the Canadian club "Quesnel Millionaires" in the British Columbia Hockey League. After three years, he moved to the Western Hockey League, playing for the "Vancouver Giants." In the 2005/06 season, Brule became the champion of the Western Hockey League and was awarded the Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy in 2004.

In 2005, Brule's rights were drafted by the "Columbus Blue Jackets." He made his NHL debut in the 2005/06 season, playing seven games. On July 1, 2008, he was traded to the "Edmonton Oilers" for Raffi Torres. He also played in the American Hockey League (AHL). The 2009/10 season was Brule's first full season in the NHL, where he played 65 games and scored 37 points. The following season, he played in the AHL and also appeared in 45 games for the "Phoenix Coyotes."

In August 2012, Brule signed a contract with the Swiss team "Zurich Lions," which was mutually terminated at the end of the year. He remained a free agent until the summer of 2013 when he joined the "Phoenix Coyotes." Despite playing three games in the NHL with the team, he was sent to the AHL's "Portland Pirates." However, he refused to play for the Pirates and left the club in early January. In May 2014, Brule signed a contract with the Ekaterinburg-based team "Avtomobilist" in the KHL. He played 44 games, scoring 10 goals and providing 5 assists. In July 2015, he moved to the "Medvescak" team.

In 2004, Brule represented the Canadian Pacific Coast team in the Canada-Russia Challenge Cup.
