Biography of Gillian Anderson

Born on August 9, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, USA, Gillian Lee Anderson is an actress known for her role as FBI agent Dana Scully in the television series "The X-Files".

Early Life and Education

Gillian Anderson's love for theater began when she was still in school and joined an amateur acting group. This passion led her to the National Theatre of Great Britain at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She later completed her education at the Goodman School of Drama at DePaul University in Chicago.

Career

In 1992, Gillian Anderson made her film debut in "The Turning". However, it was her role as Dana Scully in "The X-Files" that brought her fame. The series, also known as "X-Files", featured David Duchovny as her partner, Fox Mulder. During the filming of the show, Gillian Anderson met Clyde Klotz, whom she married on January 1, 1994. They welcomed their daughter, Piper, in September of the same year.

Gillian Anderson reprised her role in "The X-Files" for the 1998 full-length film adaptation. Her filmography also includes "The Mighty", "Playing By Heart", and "Chicago Cab".
