The members of Gândul Mâţei met while studying at the Academy of Arts in Chișinău, a merger of the Institute of Arts and the Conservatory. Despite their classical training, they forged a unique musical path, blending hard melodic rock, hardcore elements, Moldovan folk, and jazz. This synthesis distinguishes them from other rock bands in Russia and neighboring countries, earning them the reputation of "professionals" in the music industry.
