Early Career

Klimenko began his professional hockey career in the Russian hockey league, Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He made his mark on January 6, 2009, when he scored three goals against "Khimik," becoming the first player in the history of KHL's "Vityaz" team to achieve a hat-trick.

Professional Achievements

Klimenko's talent and skills earned him several notable achievements throughout his career. In 2009, he won the Gagarin Cup as a member of the Kazan-based team, "Ak Bars." He also became the Russian champion in the 2008/09 season with the same team. Klimenko further added to his accolades by winning the Spengler Cup in 2010/11 as a part of the SKA team.
