Early Career

Gonzalo Arconada, brother of renowned goalkeeper Luis Miguel Arconada, is a Spanish football coach currently managing Burgos. His coaching journey began with youth teams, guiding Real Unión for seven years in Tercera and Segunda B divisions. He then managed Tolosa (Tercera) and Beasain (Segunda B).

Real Sociedad

From 2001 to 2006, Arconada led Real Sociedad's reserve team, transitioning between Segunda B and Tercera. In January 2006, he was promoted to manage the first team, replacing José María Amorrortu. Despite efforts to secure Real Sociedad's survival in La Liga, Arconada was dismissed in March and replaced by José Mari Bakero.

Burgos and Numancia

Arconada briefly managed Burgos in Segunda B before guiding Numancia to a Primera División promotion in the 2007/08 season.

Almería and Return to Numancia

In 2008, he joined Almería in La Liga, replacing Unai Emery. However, he was dismissed in December due to relegation concerns. In May 2009, Arconada returned to Numancia after their relegation from La Liga.
