Early Career and Professional Debut
Miikka Heiskanen's hockey journey began with the Espoo Blues youth academy before he joined HIFK in 2013. Within two seasons, he established himself in the club's youth system and was named the Best Player in the Finnish Junior Championship for the 2015/16 season.
In May 2016, Heiskanen inked his first professional contract. He made his professional debut on September 9, 2016, in a Champions Hockey League match against Esbjerg Energy. On September 16, he debuted in the Finnish Championship against Lukko.
Breakout Season and International Recognition
In his first professional season, Heiskanen recorded an impressive 10 points in 37 games. His exceptional performance earned him recognition on the international stage, where he represented Finland in various junior and youth teams.
NHL Debut and Ascent
