Biography of Graham McTavish
Graham McTavish is a Scottish film and television actor, as well as a voice actor, best known for his role as the dwarf Dwalin in Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit' trilogy. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland on January 4, 1961.
Early Career
McTavish played Warden Ackerman in the sci-fi series 'Red Dwarf', appearing in five episodes of the eighth season. He has also portrayed numerous supporting roles in British TV series and films, including 'Casualty', 'Jekyll', 'The Bill', 'Taggart', and 'Return to Treasure Island'.
Notable Roles
In the action film 'Rambo', McTavish played the role of the irritable mercenary commander Lewis. He also appeared as a drill sergeant in the fourth season of the cult series 'Lost', in an episode titled 'The Constant', which attracted 15 million viewers in the US.
McTavish has taken on a variety of roles in both film and TV, including a customs inspector in the comedy 'Ali G Indahouse' and a Russian pirate in the series 'NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service'. He portrayed Ferguson in the fourth episode of the fourth season of 'Prison Break' and played Big Marc Turner in the crime drama 'Green Street Hooligans 2'.
As a voice actor, McTavish lent his voice to the villainous Serbian war criminal Zoran Lazarević in the video game 'Uncharted 2: Among Thieves'.
