Early Life and Football Career

Granit Rushiti was born on February 3, 2000, in Eslöv, Sweden. The son of Albanian immigrants, he grew up with a passion for football and idolized Zlatan Ibrahimović.

At age 5, Rushiti joined the youth team of Eslöv BK. His exceptional talent earned him a move to Lunds BK, where he caught the attention of Malmö FF, Ibrahimović's former club. However, a devastating knee injury during his first training session halted his promising career.

Injury Setbacks and Football Return

After a lengthy recovery, Rushiti joined BK Olympic but struggled to find playing time. He eventually returned to Malmö FF, only to be sidelined by more injuries. Despite rehabilitating successfully, his form suffered. Another injury to his calf further hindered his progress.

Return to Form and Adult Debut

Despite the setbacks, Rushiti regained his scoring touch with Malmö FF's U-17 team, netting 12 goals in 13 games. However, the transition to senior football proved difficult, and he returned to Eslöv at the end of the 2017/2018 season.

In 2020, Rushiti became a free agent and considered his football career over.

Acting Debut: "I Am Zlatan"

Rushiti's football dreams took an unexpected turn when he received an offer to audition for the role of Zlatan Ibrahimović in the biopic "I Am Zlatan." Despite his initial doubts, he accepted the invitation and impressed director Jens Sjögren with his striking resemblance to the iconic striker.

Personal Life

Rushiti keeps his personal life private, but is known to reside with his parents in Eslöv. He rarely shares photos of loved ones on social media.

Current Endeavors

After the success of "I Am Zlatan," Rushiti is contemplating a career in acting. However, he is currently working in a call center while writing scripts in the evenings.
