Early Life and Career
Gregg Wallace was born on October 17, 1964, in Peckham, London. He began his career as a greengrocer at Covent Garden Market, later founding George Allan's Greengrocers in 1989. By 2010, he had opened Wallace & Co in Putney and Gregg's Bar & Grill in 2012. However, West Veg Limited faced financial difficulties in 2013, losing approximately £1.5 million.
Television Career
Wallace's breakthrough came as a presenter on BBC Radio 4's "Veg Talk." He then hosted Saturday Kitchen from 2002 to 2003, followed by "Veg Out" on Discovery Channel and "Follow That Tomato" on The Food Channel. In 2003, he won a Royal Television Society Award.
