Grigory Vasilevich Shevchuk is a Ukrainian-born actor, television host, and voice artist renowned for his versatility and endearing charm.

Early Life and Career

Born on June 9, 1976, in Vinnytsia, Ukraine, Shevchuk showed early independence, being able to fry potatoes and tend cows at age six. He left home at 17 to pursue his dream of studying at the I.K. Karpenko-Karyi Institute of Theater and Cinema in Kyiv, where he graduated with honors in 1997.

Theater

After military service, Shevchuk joined the Theater of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and later "Actor" Theatre. In 1999, he became a member of the Moscow Jewish Theater "Shalom," where he performed in plays such as "Wandering Stars" and "Kibbitzer."

Television and Film

Shevchuk made his television debut in 1993 on Ukrainian channel "1+1" and returned to the screen in 2005 on Russian channel "Kultura." He then hosted the popular culinary show "Dinner Party" on "Ren-TV" for 11 years.

In 2017, Shevchuk became the host of the reality show "Love Without Borders" on "Mir" TV, focusing on cross-cultural love stories. He also appeared as an expert on the "Kitchen" segment of Shopping Live.

Shevchuk has also starred in over 30 films, including "Karambol," "Formula Zero," and "Silver Forest." He recently portrayed actor Anton Malyshev in the medical drama "Ambulance 5."

Personal Life

Shevchuk is happily married to Yulia, a therapist. They have two daughters, Alina and Aksinya. He has another daughter, Sofia, from a previous marriage who lives abroad.

In his free time, Shevchuk enjoys photography, which he sees as a potential escape route if his acting career wanes.

Recent Projects

In 2023, Shevchuk played Alexei Gribov in the biographical drama "Ranevskaya" about the life of the legendary actress Faina Ranevskaya.
