Early Life and Career
Guido Buffarini Guidi was born in Pisa, Italy. He participated in World War I and later returned to his hometown, where he established the local fascist movement.
Fascist Party Member
From 1924 to 1939, Buffarini Guidi served as a member of the Italian Parliament for the National Fascist Party (PNF). He held various positions within the party, including member of the Chamber of Fasces and Corporations and consul of the fascist militia.
Government Official
In March 1933, Buffarini Guidi became the Under-Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior. Simultaneously, he was appointed to the Grand Fascist Council. He served in these roles until February 1943.
Italian Social Republic
In 1943, Buffarini Guidi assumed the position of Minister of the Interior and Commissioner of the Red Cross in the Italian Social Republic (RSI). He held these posts until February 12, 1945, when he was dismissed and forced into resignation.
Capture and Death
On April 26, 1945, Buffarini Guidi was captured by Italian partisans while attempting to flee to Switzerland. On May 29, 1945, he was sentenced to death and executed by firing squad in Milan.
