Guido Pennelli: Talented Argentinean Musician and Actor

Childhood and Early Life

Guido Nicolas Pennelli was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on August 19, 1994. While his family had no connection to entertainment (his mother was a confectioner), Guido displayed a passion for music from an early age. At the tender age of three, he would play a symphony on whatever objects he could find, including pencils, pens, spoons, and forks. By the age of five, he had begun mastering the drums and later the guitar.

Football was another childhood passion, but Guido's heart belonged to the arts, and he had no intention of pursuing a professional sports career.

Music and Television Beginnings

Like many other young actors, Pennelli got his start in the popular Argentinean soap opera "Chiquititas" created by Cris Morena. The show featured future stars of the telenovela "Rebelde Way," including Felipe Colombo, Luisana Lopilato, and Benjamin Rojas. Guido joined the cast in 2006's new season, working alongside Jorgelina Aruzzi, Gaston Ricaud, Maria Carambula, and Mariana Esposito.

Morena also cast Pennelli in the musical comedy series "Beauty and the Beast," sharing the screen with Romina Yan, Maxiliano Ghione, and Mercedes Funes. The young actor appeared in three episodes, but it was enough to catch the eyes of the industry.

"Peter Punk" and Rock Bones

Guido's next major project was the musical telenovela "Peter Punk," where he played a character close to his own passions—a drummer named Seba. The cast included Juan Ciancio, Gaston Vietto, and Franco Mazini.

The band Rock Bones, created by the protagonists of "Peter Punk," transcended the realm of fiction and existed in real life. The group released two studio albums and toured Latin America, performing at large stadiums and venues. After the telenovela's conclusion, the band members rebranded themselves as Primantes and continued their musical endeavors.

Telenovela Success and International Recognition

Another hit in Guido's cinematic biography was the soap opera "We Are a Family," which replaced the popular "Sos Mi Vida" starring Natalia Oreiro. The young actor's colleagues included Gustavo Bermudez, Ana Maria Orozco, and Eva De Dominici.

In parallel, Pennelli starred in the youth series "Violetta," showcasing his comedic talent. The telenovela gained immense popularity, establishing the actor's name in his home country. Martin Stoessel, Jorge Blanco, Alba Rico, and Lodovica Comello led the cast.

However, Guido's real breakthrough came after his portrayal of Ezequiel Correa in the Disney Channel's sports telenovela "Once." The series resonated with viewers worldwide, and critics praised Pennelli's performance. His supporting character became so beloved that he was promoted to a main cast member in the third season.

Personal Life

The Argentinean actor has a Hollywood-esque charm, attracting an avid fan base who are particularly interested in his personal life. However, Pennelli is fiercely protective of his private sphere.

On his Instagram account, he refrains from posting family pictures, except for occasionally sharing adorable moments with his niece, Alma. Fans often mistakenly refer to Alma as Guido's daughter.

The actor enjoys traveling and prefers to spend his vacations exploring the coasts of Ibiza and Greece. He also ventures within his home country, having visited the picturesque region of Patagonia. On some of his travels, Pennelli is accompanied by his beloved dog.

Present Day

In 2023, Pennelli made a comeback to Argentinean television after a brief hiatus with the musical drama "Freaks." The decision proved fruitful, as he landed the lead role of Gaspar, the founder of the eponymous band who is falsely accused of stealing concert earnings by his fellow members.

The series also stars Julian Cerati, Alan Madanes, and Pablo Turturiello. Martin Deus and Maximiliano Gutierrez directed the 13-episode drama, which premiered on the Disney+ streaming platform in June 2023.
