Biography of Guillermo Coria
Guillermo Coria is an Argentine tennis player who has been involved in tennis since childhood. He won his first Masters tournament three years ago in Vina del Mar, Chile. Since the beginning of this year, Coria has not lost a single match. In late April, he became the winner of his eighth career Masters tournament at the Association of Tennis Professionals in Monte Carlo, allowing him to climb several ranks in the world rankings. Currently, Coria is the world's fourth-ranked player. Like all Argentine tennis players, he performs particularly well on clay courts. He dreams of finally winning at least one of the four Grand Slam tournaments, the most prestigious tournaments for tennis players. This opportunity may arise when the competition begins at Roland Garros in Paris. Last year, he reached the semifinals of the same tournament, defeating Andre Agassi.
Coria was born in the town of Venado Tuerto in the central province of Santa Fe. He got married in December to his 19-year-old bride, Carla Frankovig, who is currently studying to become an accountant.
As a passionate supporter of the football club "River Plate," Coria often wears a necklace with a pendant featuring the emblem of the popular club from Buenos Aires. He even wore a red ribbon over his white shirt at his wedding, representing the color of his beloved team.
