Biography of Maria Sanchez
Maria Sanchez is an American tennis player of Latin American descent. She has been involved in tennis since the age of 10 and has also dabbled in basketball, softball, and golf. Her favorite surface to play on is hard court. Maria is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Sporting Career
For several years, Maria Sanchez balanced her regular appearances in the NCAA tennis league, representing USC, with professional tournaments. In 2011, while playing in the collegiate league, Sanchez received several Player of the Year awards in various categories.
In that same year, she gradually began transitioning to WTA and ITF tournaments.
