Biography of Hadise
Hadise is a Turkish-Belgian singer, known for her R&B style. Born on October 22, 1985, in Mol, near Antwerp, Belgium, Hadise's parents immigrated to Belgium from the Turkish city of Sivas. She has two sisters and a brother.
Early Life and Career
In her childhood, Hadise developed a passion for horse riding and also began taking music lessons. Although she had always wanted to be a singer, she didn't pursue a professional music career until the age of 17. After completing her education in economics and modern languages, Hadise continued her studies at Provenciale Hogeschool Limburg in Hasselt, graduating in 2006. She is fluent in Turkish, Dutch, English, French, and German.
Music Career
In 2002, Hadise won the title of "Miss Mol" in a beauty contest but chose to pursue a career in singing instead of modeling. In 2003, she participated in the show "Idol" and although she didn't make it to the final ten, she caught the attention of record labels. Soon after her appearance on "Idol," Hadise was offered a contract to record her debut album.
Her debut single "Sweat" was released on November 1, 2004, and reached the 19th position on the Ultratop 50 chart. She followed it up with singles like "Stir me up" and "Milk Chocolate Girl." In 2005, Hadise released her debut album "Sweat," which blended urban-pop with jazz, soul, funk, and Eastern music influences.
In 2006, Hadise became the host of the Turkish version of "Idol" called "Popstar Turkiye" and also received her first TMF award. She started working on her second album in 2007, and songs like "A Good Kiss," "My Body," and "My Man and the Devil on His Shoulder" gained popularity.
Eurovision and Television Career
In 2009, Hadise represented Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Düm Tek Tek." She also became a television host in Belgium for the show "X-Factor."
Despite criticism for her provocative image and clothing choices, Hadise's talent and unique blend of R&B and Turkish pop have made her a successful and popular artist. She draws inspiration from artists like Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, and Alicia Keys, as well as traditional Turkish music.
Overall, Hadise has established herself as a prominent singer both in Turkey and Belgium. Her albums and singles have achieved significant success, and she continues to captivate audiences with her powerful voice and charismatic performances.
