Hasim Rahman is an American professional boxer who competes in the heavyweight division. He was born on November 7, 1972, in Baltimore, Maryland, to an African-American family.
Early Career
Rahman started boxing at the age of 20 and quickly transitioned to the professional level after just 10 amateur fights. He made his professional debut in 1994 and went on to achieve a record of 28 wins.
Rise to Prominence
In his first major fight against top-ranked heavyweight boxer David Tua on December 19, 1998, Rahman dominated the ring but suffered a devastating blow in the 9th round.
