Early Life and CareerHe Kexin, a Chinese gymnast, was born in Beijing, China. She began her training at a local sports school in Beijing and quickly showed promise in gymnastics. In 2006, He competed in the National Games and in 2007, she joined the national team.

International Success
In 2008, He made her debut in international competitions when she participated in the World Cup. On May 15, 2008, at the Tianjin World Cup, He broke two world records. Later that year, she was selected to represent China in the 2008 Olympic Games.

At the Olympics, He played a crucial role in helping China win the team gold medal. She also won an individual gold medal in the uneven bars, narrowly defeating American gymnast Anastasia Liukin. However, controversy surrounded He's age, with some sources claiming she was only 14 years old at the time, which would have made her ineligible to compete. The International Olympic Committee investigated these claims but ultimately deemed the evidence insufficient to prove any wrongdoing.
Continued Success and Setbacks
He continued to excel in her gymnastics career after the Olympics. In 2009, she won another gold medal in the uneven bars at the World Championships, solidifying her reputation as one of the best gymnasts in the world in that event. She also had a successful performance at the 2010 World Championships, although a fall during the finals cost her the title.
In 2011, He faced disappointment at the World Championships as she failed to qualify for the finals. However, she remained a valuable member of the Chinese national team, helping them win a bronze medal in the team event.
Olympic Success
In the 2012 Olympic Games, He redeemed herself with a stellar performance on the uneven bars. While she narrowly missed out on the gold medal, she secured a silver medal, becoming the first Chinese gymnast to win a medal in the same event in two consecutive Olympics. She also joined the ranks of only five Chinese gymnasts to have competed in two Olympic Games.
Currently, He Kexin continues to specialize in the uneven bars. However, she has expressed a desire to compete for podium finishes in the all-around competition in the future.
