Biography of Oleg Verniaiev
Oleg Verniaiev, a Ukrainian gymnast, is a world champion, four-time European champion, two-time European Games champion, and Olympic champion of the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Games (parallel bars). He was born in 1993 in Donetsk.

Early Career
In 2012, Verniaiev won a silver medal at the European Championships and achieved 4th place in the team all-around at the London Olympics. He also placed 11th in the individual all-around competition.
Continued Success
In 2013, Verniaiev earned a silver medal and two bronze medals at the Universiade, as well as a bronze medal at the European Championships. The following year, he became the gold medalist at the World Championships, along with winning a gold and two bronze medals at the European Championships.
First Ukrainian Gymnastics Champion
In 2015, Verniaiev made history as the first Ukrainian athlete to win the World Cup in artistic gymnastics. His groundbreaking achievements continued at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, where he brought home the first gold medal for Ukraine by excelling in the parallel bars event.
Awards and Recognition
For his exceptional sporting achievements at the XXVII Summer Universiade in Kazan, Verniaiev was honored with the Order of Daniil Galitsky in 2013. This award recognized his outstanding dedication, will to win, and elevation of Ukraine's international reputation.
