Heather Petri: A Biography

Born on July 13, 1978, Heather Petri is a professional American water polo player who is widely recognized for her achievements in the sport. Growing up in Orinda, California, Petri developed a passion for various sports, particularly swimming and soccer. Coaches early on recognized her determination and talent, predicting a bright future for her. Petri began playing water polo in her early school years, initially joining the boys' school team. Through fierce competition, she honed her skills as an attacker, swiftly pursuing her goals. Within a few months of training, she was able to compete on par with experienced male players.

After completing high school, Petri enrolled at the University of Berkeley. Her professional career in water polo began in 2000 when she emerged victorious in the "Holiday Cup."
