Henrik Silvius is a fashionable designer and blogger who moves around in a wheelchair. He has been unable to walk since childhood. However, this has not prevented him from becoming popular in the fashion world. Henrik always attracts attention with his bold and extravagant outfits. As he recalls, he realized from an early age that his wheelchair would always make him stand out in a crowd. Therefore, he decided that if people were going to look at him regardless, they might as well see what he wanted to show them. And he had a lot to show.
A Unique Sense of Style
Since his childhood, Henrik has always had a fondness for unconventional clothing. Over time, he has become a master of non-standard outfits, sometimes too flashy, and occasionally even clownish, but always in his own distinctive style. Henrik loves to mix different styles. He pairs massive gold chains with formal, expensive jackets, believing that contemporary men's fashion is too dull.
Browsing for Fashion
Henrik buys his outfits from various places, ranging from basic items in brand stores like H&M to second-hand shops. He especially values the latter, as the chance of encountering someone dressed the same way is minimal. According to Henrik, the range of choices is enormous. He goes on shopping sprees almost every day and jokingly mentions how much money he spends on clothes. After accumulating a selection of garments, he blends and experiments until he settles on a final ensemble. If he fails to decide on an outfit, he tries again the next day. Henrik strives to harmonize each outfit with his own sense of self, as he values his personal understanding and perception of fashion the most. "I always try to remain true to myself because I believe that those who stay true to themselves are the ones who truly inspire," he says.
A Fashion Blogger
A few years ago, Henrik started his own fashion blog, which has since gained incredible popularity. Although there is an abundance of fashion bloggers today, Henrik managed to stand out. He takes numerous self-portraits, and it is perhaps his strange, bold, and daring photographs that captivate his readers. In Denmark, Henrik Silvius has already become a well-known fashion personality, even working as a stylist at Copenhagen Fashion Week. While he is interested in exploring new collections, Henrik ultimately believes in his own style and vision of fashion.
Fashion as a Passion
Henrik Silvius, a person in a wheelchair, stands out because of his unconventional appearance. However, it is not surprising that a person pursues their passion. Fashion is what interests Henrik; it is his livelihood, his ambition, his work, and his ultimate love. On Henrik's index finger, there is a tattoo with the word "IMPULS." He explains that it is a motto, a call to "live here and now, to enjoy the moment." "It is very, very important for me to try and live like that, here and now," says stylist and fashion blogger Henrik Silvius.
