Murder of the New York Rapper Hollywood Play
Frank Snyder, known as Hollywood Play, was a 35-year-old Brooklyn artist who was tragically shot and killed outside a club where he had just performed. The incident occurred at around 3:15 AM on October 7, 2018, in Queens, New York.
The Shooting
After performing at a birthday party at the Tavern Lounge, Snyder exited the club and was approached by a black sedan. A gunman emerged from the vehicle and fired several shots at him. Snyder was struck twice, once in the neck and once in the leg. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Witnesses believe that Snyder was the intended target, as he was the only person hit by the gunfire. The gunman's vehicle fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
Reaction from Friends and Family
Cardi B, a close friend of Snyder, paid tribute to him on social media by sharing a video of them together. Another friend, rapper Chedda Boss, expressed shock and disbelief, saying that Snyder "was not the type of person to get into anything like this."
Snyder's mother, Debra Snyder, said that her son was "a good guy" and that she wanted to know who was responsible for his death.
