Huang Yong, a Chinese serial killer, was accused of murdering 17 teenage boys between September 2001 and 2003. He was born in 1974 in Henan, China. Huang Yong carried out his horrific "hunt" in gaming arcades and internet cafes, popular places for young boys worldwide. He would invite boys to his home, offering them jobs, excursions, assistance in finding information, and anything else that might interest teenagers. Once he lured them to his apartment, he would drug, bind, strangle, and then sexually assault them.

In November 2003, a 16-year-old boy named Zhang Liang reported Huang Yong to the Chinese police. By a stroke of luck, Zhang Liang had managed to escape the horrifying fate that awaited him. He recounted his story - meeting in an internet club, being invited to Huang Yong's home, and then the scene of strangulation, during which he found himself on the brink of life and death multiple times. If the criminal had known that Zhang Liang would survive and provide evidence against him, he might never have uttered the phrase that Zhang Liang claimed to have heard during their struggle: "I have killed 25 people. You are number 26." The police found it hard to believe Zhang Liang's heart-wrenching story, but a search of Huang Yong's house and his subsequent arrest proved him right.

Huang Yong was arrested and charged with the murder of 17 people, even though the claimed number of 25 killings was not confirmed. During the investigation, the remains of the murdered and dismembered bodies were discovered, and later, even something resembling a personal graveyard was found. The criminal admitted his guilt. On December 9, 2003, he was sentenced to death by firing squad.

On December 26, 2003, the sentence was carried out, and Huang Yong was executed by firing squad. It is said that when explaining his motivation, Huang Yong stated, "I have always dreamed of becoming a killer since I was a child, but I never had the opportunity."

According to some reports, after Huang Yong's execution, the police discovered the remains of two more bodies.
