Early Career

Igor Budan, a Croatian striker, embarked on his professional career in 1997 with Rijeka. In 1999, he moved to Venezia before being loaned out to Empoli in 2000, Bellinzona in 2001, and Palermo in 2002. Despite being sold to Palermo in 2002, he never made an official appearance for the club, instead playing on loan for Venezia in 2002 and Ancona in 2003.

Club Career

Budan transferred to Atalanta in 2003 and remained there until 2006, when he was loaned to Ascoli. Later that year, he was sold to Parma, where he played until 2008 before returning to Palermo. On August 31, 2010, he joined Cesena on loan.

International Career

Budan made his debut for the Croatian national team on February 7, 2007, as a substitute in a friendly match against Norway. He was part of the Croatian squad that participated in the 2008 European Championship.

Coaching Career

After retiring from playing, Budan became a coach. He currently manages Italian Serie B club Palermo, having previously worked as an assistant coach at the same club.
