Youth and Early Career
Andriy Prots was born and raised in Lviv, Ukraine. He started his football journey at the age of 6, joining the youth academy of FC Karpaty Lviv. Under the guidance of his first coach, Vladimir Umanets, he developed his skills and progressed through the academy ranks.
Professional Career
Debut and Ukrainian Premier LeagueProts made his professional debut for FC Karpaty-2 in the Ukrainian Second League. In 2007, he joined FC Lviv, a club that would become a mainstay in his career. He made his Ukrainian Premier League debut in 2008 for Lviv, facing football powerhouse FC Shakhtar Donetsk.
Loan Stints and Return to Lviv
After Lviv's relegation to the First League, Prots was sought after by FC Metalurh Donetsk and FC Tavriya Simferopol. However, he remained with Lviv before being loaned out to FC Obolon in 2011.
Later Career and Canadian Adventure
After Obolon withdrew from competitions, Prots became a free agent and signed for FC Nyva Ternopil in the Ukrainian Second League. In 2015, he embarked on an international adventure, joining Canadian club Toronto Atomic FC in the Canadian Soccer League.
