Ihor Peliukh: A Multifaceted Entertainment Icon
Early Life and EducationIhor Dmytrovych Peliukh was born on February 3, 1974, in Ternopil, Ukraine. He attended Ternopil Secondary School No. 18 and later completed a vocational program as a shoe repair technician. Despite this training, he pursued a career in the entertainment industry.
Musical Beginnings
Peliukh's passion for music emerged early on. He played bass guitar for the rock band "Nameless" from 1993 to 1998 and organized the "Niveroku" music festival in Ternopil. He also hosted the youth music program "Jolly Roger" on the Ternopil Regional State Radio Company.
Radio and Television Career
Peliukh's radio career took off in 1998 when he joined Kyiv's "Radio Stolitsy" as a DJ. The following year, he joined "1+1" television, where he co-hosted the program "Not All at Home" with his future wife, Oleksandra Lozynska.
From 1999 to 2004, Peliukh studied journalism at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. During this time, he also became an administrator for the ICTV television channel's website. He went on to host several popular TV programs, including "Gallop Across Europe," "On His Own Head," "Taxi," and "Labyrinth."
Accolades and Studio Founding
In 2003, Peliukh received the "TeleTriumph" award for "Best Host of Entertainment Programs" on Ukrainian television. Two years later, he established the production studio "Rohy i Kopyta Production," serving as its General Producer.
Radio Success
In late 2008, Peliukh began hosting the "DSP Show" on the radio station "Europa Plus."
Tragic Demise
Peliukh's promising career was cut short when he was killed in a car accident on May 8, 2009, in Kyiv. He is buried at the Baikove Cemetery alongside his parents.
