Military Career
Commander of the Territorial Defense ForcesIn 2024, Ukrainian military officer Ihor Tantsiura was appointed Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This marked a significant milestone in his distinguished military career.
Internal Troops Commander (2013-2014)
During the 2013-2014 Euromaidan protests, Tantsiura served as the head of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He commanded the forces responsible for dispersing protesters during the tumultuous uprising.
President's Guard Brigade (2005-2008)
Prior to his involvement in Euromaidan, Tantsiura commanded the Separate President's Brigade from 2005 to 2008. This elite unit provides protection for the President of Ukraine.
Training Center Commander (2009)
In 2009, Tantsiura was appointed commander of the 169th Training Center, where he oversaw the training of troops for the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Post-Euromaidan and Civilian Career
Retirement and Deputy Rector (2014)Following the Revolution of Dignity, Tantsiura retired from active duty. He subsequently joined the Institute of Public Governance and was appointed Deputy Rector.
Institute for State Security Management (2018-2019)
From 2018 to 2019, Tantsiura served as Deputy Head of the Institute for State Security Management at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

General-Major (2009)Tantsiura holds the rank of General-Major, which was conferred on him on December 1, 2009.
