Biography of Ilya Bliznyuk
Ilya Bliznyuk is a Ukrainian football player and goalkeeper. He has represented the Ukrainian national team and played in 2 matches. His first match was on August 13, 1996, in a friendly game against the Lithuanian national team. He came on as a substitute for Oleg Suslov in the 68th minute and conceded one goal. His second match was also a friendly game, which took place on March 23, 1997, against the Moldovan national team. He played the entire first half and was replaced by Oleksandr Shovkovskyi during halftime. After that, he was not called up to the national team again and later obtained Russian citizenship.
Personal Life
On March 18, 2011, Ilya's 18-year-old daughter, Alexandra, was seriously injured in a car accident in Dnipro. After receiving treatment in clinics in Ukraine and Israel, she is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
Remarkable Performance
In the 2005 season, while playing for Tomsk's "Tom" team, Ilya Bliznyuk successfully saved two penalties in a single match against Moscow's "Dynamo" team.
