Nastase was a four-time winner of the Masters tournament, triumphing in 1971, 1972, 1973, and 1975. His achievement ranks second only to Ivan Lendl and Pete Sampras, who have won the cup five times. In total, Nastase won 88 tournaments in both singles and doubles, with 57 of them recognized by the ATP.
His best performances in the Grand Slam tournaments include winning the French Open in 1973 in singles and becoming the champion in doubles in 1970. He also won the US Open in singles in 1972 and doubles in 1975, partnering with Jimmy Connors.
