Biography of Irina Ignatyuk

Irina Ignatyuk is an accomplished guitar performer and a graduate of the Belarusian State Academy of Music, where she earned the title of concert performer on classical guitar. She is known for her unique style of pop-dance music, incorporating elements of Spanish, Asian, Arab, and Latin American music.

Early Life and Education

Irina first picked up the guitar at the age of seven and received her music education at the Minsk Music School, specializing in guitar. She continued her studies at Secondary School No.20 (now Gymnasium No.8), where her father taught music and singing. Her father bought her first guitar from a store called "Musika," conveniently located right next to the school. After finishing school, Irina completed her studies at the Minsk Music College named after Glinka, specializing in guitar. She later graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Music, earning a bachelor's degree and the title of concert performer on classical guitar. In addition to guitar, Irina also gained a solid foundation in music theory, vocals, orchestral conducting, and piano playing.

Musical Career

Despite her formal academic training, Irina has always been drawn to popular music genres such as jazz, blues, rock, pop, and reggae, as well as the works of Santana, Gary Moore, Paco de Lucia, Al Di Meola, and Mike Oldfield.

Irina made her debut at the "Slavianski Bazaar" music festival and has since participated in various international events, including the "Crossroads of Europe" festival, the "Riga-Jurmala-Transit-Hollywood" festival, the "Song of the Year in Belarus" competition, and the "Slavianski Bazaar 2005." She has also performed concerts in Spain, Austria, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Germany, and Japan (Hokkaido Island: Sapporo, Asahikawa, Sokkyo).

She was selected as the face of the "Mercedes-Benz" company at the international automobile show held in Minsk. In 2007, Irina was named the winner of the "Top-50 Beautiful and Successful People of Minsk" project.

Irina has collaborated with various artists, including the group "Via Gra," Igor Nikolaev, Dmitry Haratyan, and Brazilian singer Elena Mendoca. She recorded the song "Simple Story" with Elena Mendoca and performed a concert with Cuban guitarist Aldo Rodriguez.

Irina's song "Sky of Spain" earned her the "Silver Gramophone" award, and she was honored with the "Golden Ear" prize by Alpha Radio on March 21, 2010.
