Irina Koliadenko is a Ukrainian freestyle wrestler who has achieved remarkable success on the international stage. She is the reigning European Champion (2021) and has also won medals at the World Championships (2019) and European Championships (2020).

Early Career

Koliadenko began competing internationally in 2017. She quickly established herself as a force to be reckoned with, winning bronze medals at the World Junior Championships in 2018 and the European U23 Championships.

Breakthrough at World Championships

In 2019, Koliadenko made her mark at the World Championships in Kazakhstan. Competing in the 65kg weight category, she reached the final where she faced Russian wrestler Inna Trazhukova. Despite a spirited effort, Koliadenko ultimately settled for the silver medal.

European Success

Koliadenko continued her impressive form at the 2020 European Championships in Rome. In the 65kg category, she defeated a Romanian wrestler in the bronze medal match to secure a podium finish.

In April 2021, Koliadenko reached the pinnacle of her career by winning the European Championships in Warsaw. Competing in the 62kg weight category, she showcased exceptional technique and determination to claim gold and become European Champion for the first time.
