Biography of Irina Vannikova

Irina Valerevna Vannikova, a Ukrainian journalist and public figure, was born on August 28, 1976, in the Russian city of Kuybyshev (now Samara). When she was two months old, her parents, who were teachers, returned to Ukraine. She grew up in the village of Kalinovka in the Vasilkovsky district of the Kiev region. In 1994, she graduated from high school with a gold medal. She has three higher education degrees: in 2001, she graduated from the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" (Faculty of Philosophy); in 2002, she graduated from the Kyiv State University of Theater Arts named after Karpenko-Karyi (Faculty of Film Studies); and in 2010, she graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Career

From 1996 to 2006, Vannikova worked as a journalist and anchor for the first independent television news program "Vikna," as well as a news anchor for the TV channels STB and "1+1." From 2005 to 2014, she was a member of the political party "Our Ukraine" and served as the chairman of the party's political council. From 2006 to 2010, she worked as the press secretary of the President of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko, and held the rank of first-class civil servant. Since 2010, she has been an advisor to the President of Ukraine.

Vannikova is the director of the Public Organization "Yushchenko Institute," where she is actively involved in public and international activities. Since January 16, 2017, she has been the host of a morning show on the NewsOne channel. Since 2018, she has been the head of social programs at the agricultural holding company MHP. She is also the founder of the Public Organization "Development of United Territorial Communities." Additionally, she is the host of the daytime infotainment show "Your Day," which has been broadcasted on the channel "1+1" since May 24, 2021.

Achievements and Personal Life

Vannikova has received several awards and honors throughout her career. She was awarded the "Teletriumph" prize in the category of "Best Host of an Information Program" in 2006. In 2007, she was recognized as a Honored Journalist of Ukraine. She was also awarded the Order of Princess Olga, 3rd Class, in 2009, and received the "Cossack Victory" award in 2019.
